Dear valued customer,
During this period of COVID-19, L’Atelier du Fromage is committed to supporting local cheese dairies. We are also dedicated to providing the best service to all of our customers.
We have composed a list of frequently asked questions to help clarify any confusion during this challenging time.
We wish you and your family good health and courage.
Johana and Lhney
1. Does L’Atelier du Fromage continue to operate during the COVID-19 pandemic?
Absolutely! Our company’s mission is to honor local cheese makers by linking their products to consumers. As long as the cheese dairies produce their house specialties, we will continue to create our Box and ship within Switzerland.
2. Are cheese dairies still producing cheeses during this difficult time?
The cows continue to produce milk every day – many of them need to be milked twice daily. The work never stops! Milk is a perishable product, so the best way to preserve it is to transform it into products like yogurts and cheeses.
Farming as a whole is hard work that never stops – not for holidays, not for COVID-19. L’Atelier du Fromage supports the cheese dairies by continuing to offer its Boxes that highlight the work of these families.
3. How does L’Atelier du Fromage ensure the Box is safe for consumption?
We avoid touching the cheeses directly. We leave it up to the cheese dairies to individually wrap the cheeses, which are vacuum-packed under strict sanitary conditions. After receiving the portioned, vacuum-packed cheeses, we pack the Boxes ourselves on our premises, which have been approved and certified by the SCAV. We place the cheeses in our Boxes in accordance with all regulations and wearing the appropriate single-use protective garments.
4. What is the impact of shipments over the next few months?
The Swiss Post is able to deliver parcels on time. We are confident that, with the new processes in place, the Swiss Post is able to meet its requirements. If you notice a delay in the delivery of your Box, please contact us immediately at the following address: email@example.com
The Heart of our concept
